An intermediate study of Algebra, logic, probability, and statistics. The student will demonstrate a deeper understanding and application of the mathematical principles.
Competencies:
- Introduce inductive reasoning and help develop problem-solving strategies;
- Review elementary set theory and expose the student to elementary logic;
- Examine and compare different numeration systems;
- Analyze the different subsets of real numbers (natural numbers, whole numbers, integers, etc.);
- Promote an understanding of elementary statistics and probability;
- Review the basics of plane geometry along with some solid geometry;
- Develop and understanding of constructions, congruence, and similarity.
- Cover the basic concepts of measurements and introduce coordinate geometry.
