A survey of American history extending from Colonial times until1877. The students will focus on the role of the nation and its citizens in the history of the United States.
Competencies:
- Identify major leaders and event of periods in American history from 1877 to present.
- Identify major eras in American history up to 1877.
- Analyze cause and effect regarding the major changes in America to 1877.
- Understand the basic elements of the Colonial, Revolutionary, and Ante-bellum and Civil War eras.
- Write an acceptable paper on a topic about history.
